Which Nepal trek actually fits you?

Most people start by picking a famous name and then discover it does not fit their leave, their fitness or their tolerance for altitude. This works the other way round. Three questions, and anything that does not fit is excluded rather than listed anyway.
1How many days can you give to the trek itself?Excluding the flights in and out of Kathmandu.
2How much walking do you do now?Answer for today, not for who you plan to be.
3How high are you willing to go?Altitude, not fitness, is what turns most people back.

Answer the three questions to see your shortlist

We rank against your days, your current fitness and how high you actually want to sleep — and we exclude anything that does not fit rather than padding the list.

How this ranks routes

A route is excluded outright if it is longer than the days you have, more than one grade above your stated fitness, or higher than the altitude you said you were comfortable with. Everything surviving those three filters is then ordered by how closely it matches, with a small penalty for routes that use far fewer days than you have available. Where a route is a genuine stretch we say so on the card rather than hiding it.

The tool cannot see your medical history, and altitude tolerance is not predictable from fitness. If you have had altitude sickness before, or you have a cardiac or respiratory condition, talk to HighPass and to your doctor before booking anything above 4,000 metres.
