A lake suite, a paragliding flight and two Himalayan sunrises
In short
Nepal works well for a honeymoon for an unglamorous reason: the good things are close together. Pokhara is a 25-minute flight from Kathmandu, and the Nagarkot ridge is 32 kilometres from the city, so five nights buy you two genuinely different places rather than five hours a day in a vehicle. In Pokhara you stay lakeside with Machhapuchhre visible from the balcony on a clear morning, take a private rowed boat out to Tal Barahi at sunset, and fly tandem off Sarangkot at 1,592 metres for 25 to 30 minutes over the lake. At Nagarkot you are on the eastern rim of the Kathmandu Valley, where the sunrise runs along Langtang, Ganesh Himal and Dorje Lakpa, and on the clearest winter mornings takes in Everest as a small notch far to the east. Haze between April and June often hides the range entirely; plan around that.
6 days planned in full. Drive times and walking hours are stated so you can judge the pace before you book.

October to early January is the most reliable window, when post-monsoon air is clear and cold. February and March are usually good in the early morning. From April to June, dust and pre-monsoon haze often hide the range completely, and July to September the ridge sits in cloud. Sunrise is always the clearest hour of the day.
Sarangkot is one of the best-known tandem sites in Asia and the operators we use are Nepal Air Sports Association members flying with certified pilots and reserve parachutes. Weight limits run roughly 35 to 95 kilograms. Flights are grounded in rain or strong wind, and if that happens on your date we refund the paragliding component in full.
Pokhara, which is why the itinerary gives it two nights with the suite. There is more to do — the lake, the ridge, the cafés, the spa — and the lake-view rooms are better than anything on the Nagarkot ridge. Nagarkot earns its two nights on the sunrise alone, and on being quiet in a way Pokhara is not.
Yes. The included candlelit dinner is set up on the terrace at Pokhara, but we can move it to a boat on Phewa, a garden at the Nagarkot resort, or a courtyard in Patan. Tell us at least a week out. A boat dinner depends on the weather and we will not run it in wind.
It is enough for lake and mountain, which is what most couples want. If you would also like Chitwan for a jungle lodge night or a two-day walk in the Annapurna foothills, add three days. What does not fit in six is any real trekking — that needs its own trip.
Honeymoon that wasn't a schedule
Two completely free days in six, which sounds like laziness until you have actually been on a honeymoon that was run like a school trip. The private boat on Phewa at sunset was the best hour of the week.
