The Everest Three Passes Trek is a challenging high-altitude adventure that crosses Renjo La (5,360 m), Cho La (5,420 m), and Kongma La (5,535 m). The trek also covers major highlights including Gokyo Lakes, Gokyo Ri, Everest Base Camp, and Kala Patthar.
It is considered a very challenging trek due to the high altitude, steep ascents and descents, rugged terrain, and demanding pass crossings. Good physical fitness and previous high-altitude trekking experience are highly recommended.
The best seasons are generally spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November), when the weather is relatively stable and mountain visibility is usually excellent.
The trek reaches Kongma La Pass at approximately 5,535 m (18,159 ft), while Kala Patthar is also reached at a similar altitude and provides spectacular views of Mount Everest.
