Short answer
A 6-night Bali trip costs USD 850 to USD 1,600 per person from Kathmandu on twin sharing, including return flights, 4-star hotels, transfers and sightseeing. Backpackers manage USD 600; a private-pool villa honeymoon runs USD 1,800 upwards. There is no direct Kathmandu–Denpasar service, and flights alone are USD 450–700.
The largest variable is the flight. There is no direct Kathmandu–Denpasar service, so every routing goes via Kuala Lumpur, Singapore or Bangkok and takes 9 to 12 hours. Return fares sit near USD 450 in February and USD 700 over the last week of December.
On the ground Bali is inexpensive by Southeast Asian standards. A good private-pool villa in Seminyak or Ubud runs USD 80 to USD 200 a night, meals cost USD 10 to USD 30 a head at proper restaurants, and a car with driver for a full day is USD 35 to USD 50. The visa on arrival adds IDR 500,000, about USD 35.
Where budgets overrun is day trips. Nusa Penida by fast boat with a guide is USD 60 to USD 90 per person, a Mount Batur sunrise trek USD 40, and the Uluwatu kecak dance with dinner USD 30. Allow USD 200 to USD 280 per person for activities across six nights.
