Short answer
February is the cheapest month to fly to Europe from Kathmandu, with one-stop return fares from USD 550 to USD 700. November and the first half of December are close behind. July and August are the most expensive at USD 1,000 to USD 1,400, pushed up by South Asian school holidays and European peak season.
The fare curve follows South Asian demand more than European. Prices climb from late April as school breaks begin, hold high through August, drop sharply in the second week of September, and bottom out in late January and February. The Christmas fortnight is a separate spike that behaves independently of the summer one.
A February trip is cold — Paris at 3 to 8°C, Prague below freezing at night — but it also means no queue at the Louvre, Alpine snow at its best, and hotels at half their July rate. For anyone whose leave is flexible, shifting from July to February can cut a Europe holiday by USD 800 per person.
Booking window matters as much as month. There is no direct service from Kathmandu, so every fare is a one-stop on a Gulf, Turkish or Chinese carrier, and those are cheapest 90 to 150 days out. Inside 45 days you are paying 30 to 60% more, and none of them run meaningful last-minute sales on Europe.
